    Nowadays product reviews have become a hub for bitching and whining about how horrible one's subjective user experience has been.However,most potential buyers take those reviews as credible as solid teacher's evaluation.Yes, no matter how high-end, versatile the product claims to be, users most likely only post negative reviews to vent their frustration.Ready for the Pros and Cons feedback for Samsung sidekick 4g?First, this phone is operating on Android os 2.2, considering it being released last summer, this firmware version may not be the most up-to-date os in the android market.However, this phone features social networking functionality that's integrated into the machine setting. With a click in the setting that says " social network updates through the phone" and you're all set, keeping your latest connection with friends. And on the screen, you can always get the latest news feeds about all your friends' facebook and twitter status updates.Battery: not happy with more than 1 day-battery life unplugged? set brightness setting to the lowest, change screen timeout to 10 minutes, stop unnecessary running apps that play the key role in draining the battery , and use the screen lock button on the side to lock it whenever you're not using it.Actual keyboardDisplay: 3.5"Camera: 3.0MP rear facing and 1.3MP front facing.Speed: it's 4G, and it uses 1 GHZ processor ,which is decent.Integrated Qik video chat, Microsoft Office compatible so you can create office documents and slides on your phone, and accounts sync features are awesomeCons:1.Battery is good but not great2. android 2.3.5 would be more desirable, but 2.2 is not slow at all.3. Skype ,google voice, youtube will drain the battery to the worst extent. And when you click on automatic apps update, that would be your worst nightmare. Doesn't matter when and where, when the apps are being updated, you need to restart the phone, or else the phone wouldn't stop buzzing.But you can definitely turn off the automatic apps update feature, it's in the settings.4. data plan: I don't understand why a person would need 5GB a month. It's unlimited anywayif you can, get a phone on Amazon, doesn't matter if you're getting this phone or something else.5. touchscreen: not the best. Sometimes when the software's being updated, the touchscreen sensor might not be as responsive as it should be. But within a year of use, I haven't had any issues with the touchscreen functionality.Extras:Music player: unlike iphone's patented headphone jack, sidekick 4g enables you to use any headphones on the planet to enjoy some peace and quiet.How to turn off the automatic apps updates?Go to marketplace, now called Android Play Store, go to my apps and then settings. Uncheck the box that says" automatic checking for updates" and check " notify me when updates are available, but let me choose to download updates"*************Update**************After a few weeks of using Dr.Battery saver, my phone has been alive and kicking for more than 2 days unplugged. I use facebook, texting and web browser.Bam
